In January, CFS Bel Unitary Enterprise celebrates its official birthday – the company turned one year old. It is worth noting that as a representative office of CF&S Lithuania UAB, the company began its activities already in September 2019.
Anatoly Gaenko, director of the company, summarizes the results of the last year and shares plans for 2021.
"January 2020 challenged us in the field of container transport. Due to the situation amid the spread of COVID-19, the Chinese New Year extended for 1,5 months, which undoubtedly had a strong impact on the supply chains. However, in March, we were able to repeat the result of the last three months of 2019, actively accepting new orders. Thus, thanks to the company's efforts, about 750 containers were delivered to customers last year, both by rail and by sea.
This year, one of the most important priorities for us, along with container transportation, is the development of road transport services. The first steps to achieve the goal have already been taken: our team was replenished at the beginning of the year with an experienced specialist who will be responsible for the development of the above-mentioned direction. In the future, we also plan to form a sales department. Of course, we will not disregard the container transport department – we hope to supplement it with new specialists in 2021 and develop new directions.
It is quite early to give an accurate forecast, but based on the results of our work in the first quarter of this year, we expect a three of fourfold increase in the company's turnover. All our efforts, knowledge and experience are focused on achieving our goals, as well as on providing professional services in the field of transport," says Gaenko.
